Bull Holder

Overview

Bull Holder is a personal finance app for iPhone built around one idea: long-term investors need clarity, not trader noise. Five modules live in a single app — Spending (expense tracking with AI receipt scan), Savings (high-yield savings, goals and interest), Stocks (US stock portfolio with daily insights), Crypto (crypto portfolio with daily insights) and Advisor (an AI agent all year plus a human-reviewed portfolio analysis) — and each user subscribes only to what they need, or takes the All-Access bundle. Data stays on the iPhone, there is no account to create, and the family pot is shared through iCloud rather than through our own servers. Target users: buy-and-hold investors who want spending, reserves and holdings in one place.

My role

I shaped the product and built the app end to end: a modular architecture where each module is enabled and billed separately, on-device persistence, family-pot sync through iCloud, and annual subscriptions through the App Store. I also implemented the AI receipt scanning (on-device itemization and categorization), the daily market insight pipeline for stocks and crypto, the AI agent behind the Advisor module, and the launch site.

Outcome

Shipped to the App Store in 2026 — free to download, monetized per module or through the All-Access bundle. The modular architecture allows new modules to ship without touching existing ones, and keeping data on the device removed the need for an account backend — lower operating cost and a privacy argument that backs the product positioning.
