Liv Bakehouse storefront — artisanal e-commerce homepage.

Overview

Liv Bakehouse is the online store for an artisanal bakehouse. It sells both a standard product catalog (breads, pastries, preserves) and accepts made-to-order requests for custom bakes. The site balances a warm, hand-made visual identity with conversion-focused e-commerce mechanics — clear pricing, simple checkout, minimal friction on the mobile order flow which is where most traffic lands.

My role

I built the storefront in Next.js, integrated the headless CMS for catalog and content management, wired Stripe Checkout for payments, and implemented the custom-order intake form with its notification pipeline to the owner. I also handled the responsive design, image optimization, and the SEO setup that drives local search visibility.

Stack

  • Next.js
  • Stripe Checkout
  • Headless CMS (Sanity)
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Vercel

Outcome

Live since 2026 and serving as the primary sales channel for the bakehouse alongside in-person retail. Custom-order intake is fully automated — the owner receives structured briefs instead of loose DMs. Mobile conversion on the standard catalog exceeds the small-business benchmark.
